China building its first undersea high-speed rail tunnel
Early March 2020, constructors are working around the clock to build China's first undersea high-speed railway tunnel in Zhejiang, east China amid #COVID19 outbreak. As part of the railway connecting Ningbo and the island city of Zhoushan in Zhejiang the underwater passage is designed to have a length of 16.2km and a maximum depth of 78 meters. The railway project will make Zhoushan accessible via trains and is expected to facilitate the integration of the Yangtze River Delta.
